India’s World cup certainty kept on moving as they whipped the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by nine wickets in their Pool B match at Perth’s WACA Ground on Saturday.
The UAE team managed to score only 102 after winning the toss and electing to bat.
Just two UAE batsmen arrived at double figures with Shaiman Anwar hitting 35 and Khurram Khan 14.
India dashed to triumph in 18.5 overs with Rohit Sharma cracking an unbeaten 55 and Virat Kohli unconquered on 33.
Together they put on 75 runs in 12.2 overs to ensure nine-wicket triumph with 187 balls to spare.
