Couple of days ago, the offices of Varanasi Superintendent of Police and Collector received a threatening phone call from an unidentified person alleging to kill Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Intelligence and Anti-Terror Agencies soon started search for him. Based on the Technical evidence, now the accused has been arrested. The threat call was made by a youth named, Dev Prabhakar Mishra, using a mobile phone.
After nabbing, he was interrogated to check if he has any association with any Terrorist outfits. Dev Prabhakar claims that he is suffering from mental illness so he made such call but ATS Officials suspect that he is just bluffing to escape.
A case was booked against him under 505 (2) (public mischief), Section 182 (false information) and 506 (criminal intimidation). He was sent to remand after being produced in the sessions court.
