The latest statements made by YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy have made him a joker on social media as he is trolled by many for those illogical statements.
Few days back, after the ill fated liquor incident in Vijayawada, in which five persons lost their lives, Jagan openly promised to ban liquor when he comes into power. His statement became a big joke in political circles as banning liquor is not possible for the government as it is the main source of income for the financially crippled state. Of course, curbing liquor is an option.
After that, Jagan has waged a fresh war against the State Government over the Visakhapatnam Agency bauxite mining issue. He slammed CM Chandrababu Naidu and TDP government for giving permission for bauxite mining in agency areas.
Interestingly, the same decisions were also taken by the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy, father of Jagan, then CM. During the regime of YSR, the liquor business grew multifold and touched new heights. YSR also gave permission for bauxite mining during his tenure. Liquor and mining became two major revenue sources for the state government in YSR’s tenure only.
Well, why didn’t Jagan found fault with the Policies then??
